Created with a generation that has grown up in the age of social media in mind, the website provides an invaluable resource for students to learn about pressing global issues, whether it’s economics, national security, or foreign affairs. Many young people today are exposed to news via platforms like TikTok and other social media, making it increasingly difficult to distinguish between true and exaggerated news. The International Report aims to bridge that gap by offering clear, reliable, and in-depth reporting on current events.

WHO WE ARE
The International Report was founded by Jack Thompson, a high school sophomore at Greens Farms Academy in 2025. Growing up, Jack was an avid reader, always looking for new ways to engage with our world through literature. As he grew older, he started paying increasing attention to the news cycle, largely through the traditional news media. Still, across major publications, social media, and other sources, it was difficult for him to find the truth about certain topics. In time, he was inspired to create a platform where students his age could come together, express their thoughts on current events, while also receiving factual, accessible information.
